Position: Senior Accountant Start Date: Immediate Opening The senior accountant is primarily involved with the management and preparation of tax returns and variety of other client projects and resolve technical issues associated with those projects. The senior accountant works in a collaborative environment with other team members to develop and deliver solutions to client needs. In that role, the senior accountant will interact with members of the team at all levels and client personnel. They will assist in working with staff accountants to provide proper training and guidance for the completion of assigned tasks. Staff Development - The staff accountant is expected to pursue his or her own self development, as well as the development of other team members by engaging in the following activities:
Qualifications - Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting. Skills and Licenses: CPA or EA preferred. 5+ years experience in public accounting and well versed in QuickBooks and professional tax preparation software programs. Demonstrate above average written and verbal communication skills. Possess successful problem-solving and analytical skills. Characteristics: Professional behavior and appearance. Honest and ethical with a strong work ethic. Proactive, resourceful, and client oriented. Acceptance and execution of job responsibilities within a team environment.
